Ms. Welmon Quaye

According to the Program Committee Chair, Ms. Welmon Quaye, the presentation of candidates for Cap and Badge will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2021.  The Program will be led by the School of Nursing Dean, Mrs. Cefanee K. Kesselly and will be held under the theme: “Serving Humanity with Dignity”.

“The Program will be the first of its kind since the establishment of the Nursing Program at LCCC”, Ms. Quaye exclaimed.

It will also be followed through by the imposition of caps to the female students and badge to the male students by the Dean,  assisted by the President, Dr. James N. Kollie Sr., and other invited speakers.

Speaking on the importance of the Ceremony, Ms. Quaye explained that the imposition of caps and badges on the 118 would-be nurses signifies a major transition in their life as student nurses. The ceremony will commence their first exposure in the hospital setting and the student nurses will be deemed skilled in bed-side care and other actual nursing responsibilities.

George Weah, Senator of Montserado County, Hon. Armah Z. Jallah, Senate Pro-Temp and Hon. Stephen J.H. Zargo, Senator of Lofa County.
